The best political book I have read this year. It's also a great reference for anyone who wants a rundown of everything that has transpired during this era of "Hope and Change" that is (soon to be "was") the Obama Regime. This book is important because the media deliberately ignored most of the events that reflected negatively upon Obama, choosing to disappear those down the memory hole. If you read Margolis & Noonan's book alongside other recent political books written by the Left, the latter read like alternate histories from a parallel universe. Margolis & Noonan have the facts on their side, in a quick read that connects the dots from 2009 to the present and argues that Barack Obama is (soon to be "was" once he leaves office in 2017) the worst president in history. If you notice, the media is working overtime on securing a legacy for Obama...and of course we all know that for the rest of our lives the media will try to aggrandize Obama and make him into something special out of value-signaling. What students of history will be confronted with is the uncomfortable fact that the media has an emotional investment in claiming that Obama was great because he was biracial and his skin color is what is most important to them. Margolis & Noonan present the facts of his presidency and detail all of the corruption, mistakes, arrogance, naiveté, deceit, hubris, machinations, and Alinsky dirty tricks that define this man and his failed regime. The propagandists of the Left will hate this. Academics will despise (and probably try to censor) these inconvenient truths. But no honest and complete portrait of Obama can ever be drawn without the material that Margolis & Noonan artfully present. The text is an easy and quick read and is written in an accessible and conversational style that I found refreshing when compared to other political works. I read the eBook version on my Kindle Fire in early July 2016; I finished the book in two days and recommend it to friends and colleagues. I plan on using it as a research source in my own writing going forward, since it is such an excellent compilation of events in an easy-to-thumb-through format with extensive sourcing of primary and secondary reference materials. I could not recommend it more highly.

If you were surprised as to why Obama merited a Nobel peace prize, as was he I believe, then you are probably aware of the democrat manipulation of media and judiciary that protected Obama and cohorts from any controversy. This is really a list, acting as a useful basis for doing your own research, material main-stream media will not give you; if you want the truth, you generally have to find it for yourself. If on the other hand you enjoy being propagandised and react emotionally (something propaganda thrives on) rather than employ critical thinking, then you will not enjoy this "list". This is a great book from Matt Margolis & Mark Noonan. It's packed with facts that you won't hear from the media. Here's a handful of what you'll find in the book:
Obama nominated John Brennan as CIA Director. This guy is a follower of ISLAM which is counter to the best interests of the United States. Now, Brennan is on the media spreading lies about President Trump.
Islamic Radicals at the White House: In 2012, Obama invited hundreds of Muslim Brotherhood radical Islamists to the White House for meetings.
Obama allowed terror-linked refugees into the US. Obama changed our immigration laws without Congressional authorization to relax restrictions on refugees and asylum seekers. He accepted 10,000 Syrians in 2016 into the US with no screening for terrorism.
2012 Obama bypassed Congress and sent $192 million in aid to the Palestinian Authority (PA). The terrorist organization Hamas is a partner of Palestinian Authority. Five months later, Obama gave the Muslim Brotherhood $450 Million.
Obama negotiated with terrorists and exchanged six terrorists who were being held in a prison, for Army deserter Bowe Bergdahl. He was being held by the Taliban and had coverted to ISLAM.
Obama had a chance to deport the men who did the Boston Marathon bombing but he did not. The two brothers who commited the Boston Marathon bombing came to the US as refugees and were arrested for domestic violence in 2009. Obama could have deported them which would have prevented the Boston Marathon bombing from happening but he chose not to.
Under Obama's administration, at least six terrorist attacks happened on US soil. Obama called these acts "workplace violence" or "damaging federal property" instead of what they were, which is terrorism.
Obama refused to link blatant acts of terrorism with radical ISLAM. The shooter, Omar Matee, pledged allegiance to Allah and ISIS before he started shooting people in the Orlando, Florida nightclub. After the couple in San Bernardino, California, who had pledged their allegiance to Allah and ISIS, shot into a room full of people, Obama went on the media to denounce gun violence.
If the authors decide to write another book about Obama, they could write several volumes just listing each time Obama lied about an issue.

The worst US president ever was Andrew Johnson the vice president who rose to the position after the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. His Justice Department was so politically motivated and partisan anything of the Democratic Party was the prejudicial result, including Loretta Lynch pretending a meeting with past President Clinton on an airport tarmac was not predudicial or a conflict of interest. Our federal debt is now 105% of GDP after his administration and our government revenues now are smaller than the interest owed on his debt. President Obama's biggest failing was thinking the political elite needed to be protected because they are smarter than the rest of us. President Obama was a failure as a president but not the worst ever.

Karl Marx would have been proud of that achievement by one who masquerades as a liberal democrat. Obamacare needs no amplification. Even Bill Clinton has labelled it as "the craziest thing."
Obama has reduced US border to porous sieves swamping America with illegal aliens and granting amnesty to more than 100,000 who should have been deported because they are criminal and undesirable.
Despite several terrorist attacks within the US, Obama refuses to recognise them as such preferring to call them "bouts of gun violence." Fantastic book! No matter what your personal political views are, this is a great read that is presented dispassionately, objectively and professionally with each item well referenced. Politics is a very polarizing issue for most people, and it is very interesting to see how both sides of the political spectrum respond to this book. I suspect that many similar books could be written about most Presidents, but this book is a very interesting observation and commentary about how the American Political System has descended into a future case study of widespread dysfunction and seemingly mandatory corruption. I have no doubt that Canadian Politics is similar, and that a book like this could easily be written about Trudeau. Modern democratic societies in North America have dramatically deteriorated, and they are on a downward slide as the voting public is becoming more educated and critical of the leaders they elect....not to mention the electoral process. Hopefully as a result of the exposes presented in books like this, modern democracies will become inspired to become better and to regain the glory and hard-won verisimilitude that won them independence and greatness.

It's interesting to note that the none of the attacks on the book succeed in undermining the assertions stated therein. Roger Scruton, in his recent book "Fools, Frauds and Firebrands," does a magisterial job of explaining why the left refuses all criticism, and sniffs in condescension at its enemies. They're on a mission against "injustice, inequality and unfairness." How can they possibly be wrong about anything if their heart is in the right place? Even though no leftist government has ever eradicated "injustice, inequality and unfairness," and indeed without exception has demonstrably made those problems worse, the left has succeeded in appropriating the terminology of moral superiority, and that's all they really want. While the right candidly admits that the flawed human heart meanders its way to a better world in fits and starts, the left insists that utopia is just around the corner, if only the recalcitrant masses would get in line and follow the program, which always turns out to be a program of naivete and a recipe for disaster.

I got this book, because I genuinely want to understand what people from various parts of the political spectrum in the U.S. think. This book got some attractive descriptors, like "all facts in one place", so I got it. First of all, instead of facts, the book begins with pages and pages of personal insults. Why? Without any information upfront, this comes from nowhere, and first of all does not even count (because it is personal), and secondly, really discredits the author. I did find some facts about Omaba presidency that made me disagree with him. However, it really took a lot of effort to keep reading through insults and illogical statements, in order to find those few valuable points. Along the way, I found some de facto wrong stuff. For example: CO2 is necessary for plants to grow - that is right. But plants need a combination of CO2, water, and sun light for photosynthesis, not just CO2. If there is too much CO2 (greenhouse gas), then global temperatures rise, there is drought, and plants do not get enough water to do photosynthesis. So CO2 is a pollutant, Author. Disclaimer: I am a chemistry professor in a major university. Next, he says that Obama took funds out of infections disease research and put it into climate. Excuse me, National Institute of Health that runs this infectious disease research got a huge funding boost during Obama. So the Author is incorrect. These lapses made me wonder what, if anything, is correct in this book. Are the decisions that I learned Obama made even correctly described? I am not sure what I learned. A little bit.. maybe. But really, if you want the message of this sort to be read and respected, better appoint someone else, who is capable of writing with personal integrity.

I was stunned to see how much he abused his power, violated our U.S. Constitution, started 4 regional conflicts that murdered innocent women and children with his use of military drones, decimated our military arsenals, depleted safety measures for our U.S. soldiers, suppressed political groups, laundered money through foreign aid that made kickbacks to his personal pocket! Wow, no wonder his middle class salary turned into millions by his presidential abuse! Shocking! Shocking! Thank you, Messrs Noon and Margolis for informing me! A country that became the greatest country in the world in 200+ years. According to Obama America should apologize for being the country that millions wanted to come to, legally and illegally. His policies toward Israel reveal his true dislike, perhaps outright hatred, of the Jewish people. If you believe Obama was a great president you should read this book. Liberals have a real problem with facts and that's a shame.

I was not at all surprised by the things I read. Basically this book confirmed what I believed. I am not sure if it was his being his being such a rookie at the job, with no real background in government or something worse. After 8 years of him as president, I had more of a feeling rather than being a rookie, that he was just plain evil and trying to bring
America. I got of him apologizing for America. Now we just need him to go away and live his life with his family and avoid any further attempts to put his self back in the limelight. Before anyone calls me racist, nothing could be farther from the truth. I believe in people and not their race. I could care less about what color they are.

This is a well researched and well documented book about the Obama administration. I pay attention to current events by watching network news and reading magazines and newspapers. I seldom watch cable news such as CNN or zFox News. One of the greatest revelations of this book is the fact that the mainstream press seldom reported the majority of these incidents. The network news stations assess Obama’s legacy as follows: He began with an ambitious domestic policy but after his party lost control of the House of Representatives and later the Senate , he became mostly a celebrity President. It is concerning that the media protected this administration to such a great extent.
