None of my Jewish friends, neighbors or colleagues spoke out against Israel’s ongoing genocidal war crimes. None. Due to my advocacy, many unfriended me. Some reported me at work. They labeled me antisemitic and claimed I was a threat to safety. I received threats & was assaulted by an Israeli Zionist while my Jewish neighbors looked on and laughed.
I have made a few new Jewish friends who are courageous enough to speak out. They inspire me. It’s not easy to be part of a small minority, willing to risk being ostracized, but their voices are impactful and necessary. We need more Jewish American voices making clear that condemning Israel’s actions is not antisemitic. I can say it, but it’s impactful when Jewish Americans say it. Thank you Robert Rosenthal for being an example & leading the way.

Eventually the society would want to forgive the oppressor colonial occupier community that waged genocide but the pain and wound would still stay raw and unhealed for decades to come, if not for centuries. (The wound of transatlantic slave trade didn’t even heal despite almost two centuries have nearly passed.) Lest we forget. If we forget, if we don’t acknowledge this, then rest assured, long after Israel is gone, another settler colonial supremacist project under another messianic pretext will see the throwing of the spanner’s in the works.
