Nan Goldin is one of her generation's most important and influential artists. She has revolutionized the art of photography through her profoundly personal portraiture.
Recently, she has been a vocal activist against the Sackler family, who owns Purdue Pharma, the pharmaceutical company responsible for marketing and distributing OxyContin. This monumental effort was documented in the Oscar-nominated film, “All The Beauty and the Bloodshead”
Today, Goldin lives and works in New York City. She continues to influence contemporary photography and art.
Today's discussion takes place between Lisa Kessler and Stella Thompson.
